Boosting Offers with Points
On TasteTXK, you can make your offers stand out by attaching Points. Points are the community reward currency locals earn by redeeming offers, volunteering, shopping, or attending events. When you fund a Point Pool for your offer, you not only make your promotion more attractive but also help build loyalty and engagement with your business .
Why Boost Offers with Points
Increase Visibility: Offers with Points appear higher in filtered results and attract more attention.
Drive Redemptions: Shoppers are more likely to claim offers that include bonus rewards.
Encourage Repeat Visits: Points can be redeemed for prizes, making customers want to come back.
Support Community Goodwill: Businesses can also donate Points to nonprofits, strengthening their local reputation.
Step 1: How Points Work
Points are digital items issued by TasteTXK, available only inside the platform .
Businesses purchase bulk Points from TasteTXK and assign them to offers.
When a shopper redeems your offer, the specified number of Points is deducted from your pool and credited to their account.
Shoppers use Points for rewards, donations, or transfers to other locals.
Step 2: Adding a Point Pool to an Offer
Log in to TasteTXK Workspaces.
Go to Destinations → Manage Destination → Create Offer.
In the Point Pool section:
Enter the total Points you want to allocate (e.g., 5,000).
Set the per-redemption amount (e.g., 100 Points per voucher).
Confirm budget and availability.
Publish your offer.
Example:
A bakery funds a 5,000-point pool.
Each “Buy 1 Get 1 Free Cupcake” redemption gives the shopper 100 Points.
The pool supports up to 50 redemptions (5,000 ÷ 100).
Step 3: Budgeting for Points
Start Small: Test with 50–100 Points per redemption.
Special Launches: Boost visibility by offering 250–500 Points for new products or grand openings.
Sustained Campaigns: Use consistent 100-point boosts on recurring offers (like lunch specials).
Holiday & Seasonal: Increase point values during high-competition times to stand out.
Pro Tip: Keep an eye on your pool balance. If it runs out, shoppers can still redeem the offer, but no Points will be rewarded.
Step 4: Monitoring Performance
Use your Analytics Dashboard to measure:
Impressions: Are more people seeing your boosted offer?
Claims & Saves: Are more shoppers showing interest?
Redemptions: Are point-funded offers converting at higher rates?
Engagement: Do boosted offers encourage repeat redemptions?
Example:
A gym offers “Free First Class + 200 Points.”
Views increase by 40%
Claim rate doubles compared to standard offers
Retention improves, as customers return to use their earned Points
Step 5: Donating Points (Optional)
Beyond boosting your offers, you can donate Points directly to nonprofits through the platform .
This builds goodwill and creates community-driven promotions (e.g., “For every redemption, we’ll donate 100 Points to Helping Hands Texarkana”).
