Points Redemption Rules and Restrictions
TasteTXK Points are the digital reward currency locals earn by shopping, redeeming offers, attending events, or volunteering. As a business, you can attach Points to your offers, donate them to nonprofits, and use them to encourage loyalty. To keep the system fair, transparent, and rewarding for everyone, Points come with specific rules and restrictions .
Why Rules Matter
Fairness: Ensures all shoppers have an equal opportunity to earn and redeem Points.
Compliance: Protects businesses and nonprofits from misuse or fraud.
Clarity: Helps customers understand what Points can and cannot do.
Trust: A consistent Points system builds long-term loyalty and confidence in TasteTXK.
Rule 1: Points Are Digital-Only
Points are digital items that exist only inside the TasteTXK platform.
They cannot be printed, mailed, or exchanged for physical tokens.
Rule 2: Redemption Options
Shoppers can use Points to:
Redeem rewards in the platform’s Rewards Catalog.
Donate to approved nonprofits.
Transfer to other registered users (within set limits).
Rule 3: Restrictions on Use
Points cannot be exchanged for cash or any outside currency.
Points cannot be sold, traded, or transferred outside of the platform.
Points cannot be used to purchase goods or services directly from businesses outside TasteTXK.
Businesses may not create off-platform promotions that misrepresent the value of Points.
Rule 4: Finality of Redemptions
All Point redemptions, donations, and transfers are final once processed.
Shoppers cannot request refunds or reversals unless required by law.
Rule 5: Business-Funded Points
Businesses (“Destinations”) may purchase bulk Points from TasteTXK.
Once allocated to offers or events, Points are deducted from the business’s balance each time a shopper redeems.
Businesses are responsible for ensuring their Point Pools have enough balance during campaigns.
Rule 6: Expiration & Inactive Balances
Unless otherwise specified, Points do not expire once allocated to a shopper.
TasteTXK reserves the right to set expiration dates on unallocated Points if a business account remains inactive for 12+ months .
Rule 7: Nonprofit Donations
Once Points are donated to an approved nonprofit, the transaction is irreversible.
Nonprofits may only use donated Points within the TasteTXK platform (to reward volunteers, donors, or supporters).
Rule 8: Fraud & Abuse
TasteTXK may suspend or revoke Points without refund if they were obtained, distributed, or used in violation of the Points Policy.
Businesses are responsible for securing their Workspaces account credentials to prevent unauthorized use.
Rule 9: Premium Membership Differences
Members without a premium subscription may earn up to 50% fewer Points at the time of redemption .
Businesses should be aware that the same offer may yield different Point amounts depending on a shopper’s membership status.
